Where PSLE Chinese marks actually go
Across the paper, marks tend to be lost in predictable places: compositions that never leave the middle band, comprehension answers that miss the required detail, and oral responses that are too brief to score. These are patterns, not individual misfortunes — which means they can be taught against directly.
How we teach it
Each lesson targets one of those areas with live practice and immediate correction. Compositions are marked against the band descriptors so pupils can see exactly what would lift their work a band. Oral is practised over video every week, because it is the component most easily improved and most often neglected.

Questions parents ask
My child's composition always scores in the middle. How do you move it up?
Middle-band compositions are usually competent but plain. We work on structure, specific vocabulary and detail, which is what separates a safe composition from a strong one.
How do you practise oral in an online class?
Oral is practised live over video, which closely mirrors the exam format. Each pupil speaks and receives individual correction — feasible because classes are capped at six.
Is one hour a week enough at P6?
The lesson is intensive and paired with work between sessions. If your child needs more, tell us and we will advise honestly rather than simply selling more hours.
